Empire console table,
Austro Hungarian Empire 1810/20. A softwood table veneered presumably in pearwood and ebonised, with a shaped top, with fully carved caryatids at the angles, these later painted green, also bronzed, the plinth with shaped and bronze-painted borders, a maplewood top with India ink painted decoration in the centre, sham drawer, the back panel with mirror and lateral fluting. 82.5 x 107 x 51.5 cm. Some later black painting, some parts replaced, ageing and wear. (DOC)
