Lit.: Galina Agarkowa, Natalija Petrowa, 250 Jahre Lomonossow Porzellanmanufaktur St. Petersburg, 1744-1994, Dersertina 1994, p. 61, towards the end of the 19th century work began on the production of the large Rafaelewski dinner service, which got its name from the decoration based on Raphael’s frescoes. The final design for this service was worked out in direct collaboration with Alexander III. It was finally completed in 1903 and was the most expensive line produced by the Porcelain Manufactory in its later period, see p. 69, illustrations of the Raphael Service, red-gilt mark 1894;
