porcelain, cylindrical body with fine gilt rim interior, to exterior gilt rims, burnished gilt-painted chain borders on matt gilt bands, gilt friezes of small leaves with rosettes on Leithner blue bands, fine large, impasto, gilt-painted acanthus leaves with gilt tendrils and rosette on a light blue ground, angular gilt handle with foliate and console terminals, height 5.8 cm, Ø 13.2 cm, Vienna, Imperial Manufactory, underglaze blue shield mark, year mark 1800, Sorgenthal era, turner nos 38 and 47, painting probably by Anton Kothgasser, the most important design painter at the Manufactory (Ru)
