Attestation by Heinrich Decker, 1977; Franz Xaver Schmädl (01.11.1705 Oberstdorf - 16.07.1777 Weilheim) worked after studying in Augsburg and Munich in the workshop of Weilheim sculptor Martin Dürr, which he took over after his death and the re-marriage of Dürr’s widow in 1734.
