produced c. 1790 by Wolfgang Paul Jenig (c. 1743–1805), signed on brass meridian circle “Jenig fecit”, the globes signed in pacific “GLOBUS / TERRESTRIS NOVUS / Loca Terrae insigniera / sec. praestant Astron. et Geogr. / Observationes sistens / opera / IOH. GABR. DOPPELMAIERI / M. P. P. / concinne traditus / a / Ioh. Georg Puschnero / Calcographo Norib. / A. C. 1730.” The globe made up of 12 engraved and partly colored paper gores, brass meridian ring, the wood stand with four turned and ebonized pillars, the octogonal wood horizon with colored paper engraving showing months, days, zodiac calendar, compass directions and religious (name) days. The horizon darkened, the globe and stand with damages, original unrestored condition. Diameter c. 20 cm, height c. 30 cm. (WU).
