Silk, Kashmir (North India), c. 172 x 168 cm, 19th century, these elegant, square-shaped embroidered textiles are called Chand-Dar in India, classic disc medallion with four segments of a circle at the field edges and botehs as decorative motifs, exceptionally fine workmanship with several repairs and a stitched tear along the centre of the field, edge damages, mounted on silk fabric.
