Sweden (Scandinavia), approx. 240 x 180 cm, early 20th century, coarse wool carpet with deep pile wool and French pattern weft of the period, originating in Finland and very popular in Sweden, the presentation of the Igor Ilkka Honkanen Collection at the Textile Fair in Satirana 2010 somewhat familiarised Western audiences with these carpets as well, excellent condition with folded woven finishes.
