Parts of a coffee service, - Di provenienza aristocratica

porcelain, 16 pieces: 6 coffee cups with 5 saucers dia. 12,5 cm, 5 dessert plates dia. 20 cm, gold rims on walls, plate lip with etched gold borders, gold leaf pendants, well with gold prince’s crown and the coat of arms of Salm-Salm with the motto “CONTRA TORENTEM” (i.e. against the stream), a few parts with hairline cracks and cracks to glaze Thomas Minton, Stoke on Trent, England, impressed purple mark, manufactured for Harrods Ltd., marked, 20th century (Ru)

Provenance: Princes of Salm-Salm

Moselle Counts, who were named after Castle Vielsalm in the Ardenne and Castle Salm in Alsace, which was built in the late 12th Century.
In the Middle Ages the line split into two branches; Upper and Lower Salm. The lines have died out but have flourished again through adoption.
The best-known was the Salm-Reifferscheidt family, with its countless branches, which in 1739 was elevated to the rank of Imperial Princes of Salm-Salm
