Species protection A. Domenico Bossi painted several important people in Hamburg between 1794-1796; between 1796-1812 he was active in Stockholm and a member of the academy there. From Sweden he went to St. Petersburg, where he painted members of the Zarist family. In 1818 he became a member of the Academy in Vienna. (Comp. Thieme-BEcker, Allgemeines Lexikon der Bildenden Künstler, Vol. 4, Leipzig 1910, p. 405).
