Persia: bottom part of a water pipe, 18th/19th century.
Bottom part (water container) of a Persian water pipe (‘Narghilè’, ‘Hookah’ or ‘Shisha’). Made of brass, its parts cast separately and subsequently soldered. Partly engraved with fine, geometric and floral decoration. Minor age damage (2 tears on the bulbous outer edge). H: 24 cm, DM: 17 cm. 18th/19th century. (ME)
