Brussels (Netherlands), c. 302 x 242 cm, about 1580, wool and silk tapestry of the late Renaissance with an aristocratic couple, promenading in a park landscape accompanied by pages and hunters, large border frame with allegorical figures and bountiful fruits, blue border, backed with linen, this tapestry was cut vertically in the middle and later professionally reattached following the pattern, several repairs due to age, lower right corner damaged, this piece is very dusty and should be cleaned. (MA) Provenienz: this tapestry was sold at our auction house in March 1975 and has been in Austrian private ownership since.
