A set of ten armchairs, designed by Carl Appel, Vienna c. 1955,


solid rosewood frame on four legs, upholstered and covered with light-coloured/beige textile fabric, height approx. 92 cm, width approx. 70 cm, depth approx. 64 cm, height of seat approx. 47 cm (MHA) ASB

These chairs were used for a conference room at the Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG headquarters at No. 7 Kärtnerring in Vienna, built by Carl Appel in 1955/56. The building, known as the “Steyr House”, burned down in 1989 and was subsequently demolished.
