1974 BMW 3.0 CS
Fantastically equipped Bavarian tourer!
In April 1971 the Munich company moved into the prestige class with their new top model the 3.0 CS. It featured four disc-brakes for taming its ramped-up power, with the 3.0 easily breaking the 210 kph mark. It still had the noble, elegant interior panelled with precious woods as well as its luxurious fittings. The power and ambiance lived up to exactly what is expected from a gran turismo.
This BMW was first registered in Rome in 1974. The baikal blue coupé was generously fitted with leather seats, tinted screens and electric window controls. The current owner discovered the coupé in Rome, in an unusually good body condition but with minor traces betraying its Italian driving history. He therefore decided to have the BMW repainted on a blank body in Austria, all of which is documented with photos. In addition, the CS cane to enjoyed many new places. The mechanics were also readapted to the power, as was the interior to the exterior chic. The result is a typical picture of a 70s gran turismo, bringing all that is best that encapsulates the pure "joy of driving".
