VEB Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen, The graceful musicians of the "Galanten Kapelle" were created between 1750 and 1760 by Johann Joachim Kändler and Friedrich Elias Meyer and give a vivid impression of the 18th century's love of music. Meissen artists would have been able to find real-life models for their figures at the already world-renowned Dresden Opera.
