A revival of the French Régence style, made to a high standard in the mid-19th century. A richly-carved walnut chair, painted gold, with tapering fluted legs and stretcher, the seat and backrest with later upholstery and with scrolled armrests. Some small losses, the paint partly rubbed. (MIN)
