The author began working with glass at the Glassmaking Secondary School in Valašské Meziříčí and later graduated from the Industrial Design studio at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Since 2000, he has taught at the Glassmaking Secondary School in Valašské Meziříčí. In his freelance work, he works with the technique of blown glass. He creates bowls, vases and small objects in elegant and simple shapes that straddle the border between design and art. The combination of precise regular shapes and parts thereof that are freely deformed is characteristic of this author. An example of this are the bowls - worn down with river stones and a surface worked over with a nozzle and an abrasive. They evoke something ancient that has existed since time immemorial, untouched by human hands.
