designed by Jean Prouvé, c. 1938, manufactured by Les Ateliers Jean Prouvé, Nancy, 1940s, green lacquered folded steel sheet, wooden top, height 73 cm, 179.5 x 79 cm. (DR) Original colour. With a certificate issued by Serge Binotto, 19 Oct. 2010. Binotto, Jean Prouvé"˜s former employee, dates the table to the 1950/60s. Yet the special form of the legs point to the 1940s, since they resemble those of the refectory tables for the Lycée de Metz (featuring fibreglass cement tops) from 1935.
