WHITE / 78, Union St. / Glasgow.” and further engraved ”PRESENTED TO Mr. George Grey as a token of respect by the Workmen of the Montreal Mines AND A FEW FRIENDS, 1874”, later lacquered brass, full horizontal and vertical circle with silver scales and magnifiers, telescope with bubble level, original case c. 37 x 32,5 x 22 cm.
