porcelain, the flaring body with interior gilding and white well, the exterior with burnished gilt sides and a burnished gilt painted grape leaf border on a white band, a reserve containing a polychrome painted garden and a sleeping baby, guarded by a lynx, the bottom right signed L. Herr, outlined with burnished- and matt gilt painted leafy vines and rosettes on a matt gilt band, the white handle with gilt decoration, Height: 10,5 cm, rim minimal restoration, Ø 15 cm, the underside with wide gilt edging, Vienna, Imperial Manufactory, underglaze blue and impressed Bindenschild, year 1827, 1832, turner no. 12 Michael Neubich 1809-1851, No3 Josef Böhm sen. 1803-1850 (Ru)

Laurenz Herr, history-, landscape-, and portrait painter, 1804-1828, and later, at the manufactory, joined the Vienna Academy at the age of 12, recipient of 3 Gundel awards, from 1804 at the manufactory, until 1810 painting in the manner of antiquity, from 1812 déjeuners, specialised in the imitation of antique onyx cameos;
