‘FX Bauer in Ollmütz’, rectangular brass mechanism, weight-driven on cord, lever escapement, duration: probably 1-month, striking mechanism with double hammer on bells set above, display including date, day of week, month, star sign and reigning monarch’s mark, small second hand, gilt-painted, engraved arched dial, medallions depicting the seasons of the year, gilt-painted and blued hands, metal rod pendulum with moon-shaped bob, polychrome intarsia softwood body with two doors partly veneered with root wood, removeable cover, 244 cm, Austria-Hungary, 2nd third of 18th cent., age damage, traces of wear, no liability assumed for long-standing performance and accuracy, 1 pendulum, 4 wooden feet, 1 weight, 1 key for case, (HP)
