A modified early Baroque revival style from the end of the 19th century. A walnut-veneered and polished softwood chest with 6 drawers, with canted angles, lion paw feet, inlaid ebonised panels with stamped metal sheeting, floral decoration in bone, a hinged lid with an interior (secret) compartment, and a functioning lock. 116 x 78 x 47.5 cm.
