Biedermeier roll top desk,
Originally ca. 1830/35. Made in softwood with burl walnut and burlwood veneer, with ebonised round columns at the angles, 3 drawers, the top one being smaller, with a sliding cylinder, also a pull-out veneered writing surface, with a maple-veneered fitted interior and floral painting from a later date, together with ebonised columns and a secret compartment in the upper area of the desk top (the top slides forwards). 123 x 123 x 67 cm.
