Neo-Classical roll top desk with a later vitrine atop,
Originally end of the 18th century. Made in walnut and softwood, with a polished finish, set on tapering square cut legs, with later panels of intarsia, a pull-out writing surface which releases a roll top lid, the lid with a later image of a church, the fitted interior with drawers and sham drawers, a green felt lining, 2 drawers. The upper section which is from a later date has 3 old sliding glass doors and cornice with drawer. 196 x 137 x 67.5 cm. In restored condition. (DOC)
