an early and very rare wristwatch by LeCoultre, stainless steel "staybrite steel", gold 375, lever movement, signed "Lisica S. A., calibre 064, serial no. 228270, black dial, hour lines, patent reversible casing, made by A & E Wenger, with monogram, reference 28-1-934, width: ca. 23 mm, ca. 1931/33, 36,7 g, some stains, scuffed, retooled; The Reverso was first produced in 1931 as a robust wristwatch for polo players. Owing to production issues the first Jaeger, LeCoultre and de Trey models were produced by A & E Wegener Co. The low-profile movements were likewise produced by Tavaness Watch Co.; assembly took place at the LeCoultre workshops in Le Sentier.
