Made loosely based on the Roman masterpiece of the Young Centaur found in the Hadrian villa in Tivoli and currently deposited in the Capitol Museums in Rome. This Roman marble statue from the 1st century AD is a copy of the Hellenic masterpiece from the 2nd century BC.
