Bakhtiar Faradombe Gallery,
West Central Persia (Iran), c. 437 x 108 cm, early 20th century, old runners with wool foundation were manufactured by the Bakhtiari people only as commissioned works and were not part of their standard repertoire, which makes the present piece all the more interesting: with fully preserved soft pile wool without considerable traces of usage, dark blue ground with vases, blooming branches and bird motifs arranged in one direction; both original finishes and side edges have survived and are complete.
