Complete gala uniform of a k. und k. major general of the cavalry, - Di provenienza aristocratica

With Hungarian uniform, upon a mannequin and mounted upon a round piece of glass, according to the uniform regulations for the k. and k. army, VI. Part of 1910/11. Description: 1) kalpak out of pine marten hide, with scarlet red cover and scarf sack, a bush of white heron feathers (the roots designed as a golden acorn mixed with black silk and covered with curled black feathers), and a square, golden mixed with black attached cord at the ends of which there are two rounded pieces of fibre with a diameter of 5.5 cm each, with a tassel out of thick golden bouillon on each end. The rounded pieces of fibre are adorned with a gold-embroidered double-headed eagle on each side - deviating from uniform regulations. The kalpak is braced with black leather on the inside. 2.) Attila out of scarlet red cloth, the standing collar trimmed with a chain cord and the field officer border all-round and a silver-embroidered star of distinction at the end of each side of the collar. The front side consisting of five rows of golden cord with gilded turned olive and roses with mixed golden-black inside. The back is also trimmed with golden cord (arc-shaped from the shoulders to the waist and then to the end of the Attila ending with 3 rose-covered pieces of cord). Two slanting cut in waist bags trimmed with a piece of golden cord. All the edges of the Attila are trimmed with golden cord. The lower sleeves are full of 5.5 cm wide, pointy at the top and at the exterior bordered with general borders surrounded with thin golden cord. The entire inside is lined with scarlet red silk. 3.) Fur Attila out of white cloth, at the edges and at the sleeve ends fur-trimmed with natural pine marten, chest and back lacing as with the scarlet red Attila, with at the borders similarly the golden trimming at the lower sleeves. An inner attached square golden cord and a long exterior attached double golden chain cord, both attached pieces of cord covered with ring buttons. On the left side beneath the beginning of the cord a big dark water stain, at the end of the right side at the beginning a slight red discolouration. The inside is lined with scarlet red silk. 4.) Riding breeches out of scarlet red cloth with Hungarian knotted trimming (Vitez Kötes) out of 2 cm wide designed golden borders, the edges laced with thin golden cord at the thighs. The side seams covered with 2 cm wide golden borders that cover the behind arch-shaped on the back. Two straight cut in waist bags. 5.) Waist-belt out of golden meshwork, golden cords, loop, handle and two short tassels out of thick golden bouillons. 6.) Officer sword cupola with two carrier straps out of brown leather and black streaked golden borders. 7.) Cavalry officer‘s sword model 1869, with shiny steel scabbard and golden officer‘s sword knot. 8.) Hungarian boots (Tschismen), enclosed separately and in contrast to uniform regulations that dictate black leather boots with the gala uniform are made of smooth light brown leather. At the top edge bordered with a golden chain cord including a golden-black filled rosette and with gilded Hussar spores (gilded spores are exclusively allowed to be worn by generals of the cavalry with Hungarian gala uniform regulations).
