The kitchen was installed in one of the two-family houses located in a section called ‘Im Haidenfeld’. These houses had separate accesses to the lower and upper floors, a special architectural feature by which they stood out from the rest of the Römerstadt housing estate. Because of its exceptional functionality and generous storage space provided by the double row of suspended wall cabinets, the kitchen was used until it was removed in 2014. Solely the unit underneath the sink, which was replaced in the 1970s, has not survived.
