Southwest Caucasus, c. 227 x 147 cm, about 1870, the Karachov carpets with rectangles and double hooks are usually combined with red polygons, the present specimen limits itself to only five rectangular central motifs, the extensive use of yellow colour with double ‘T’ border enhances the brightness of this early piece, lower right corner and upper kilim end replaced, some minor repairs.
