East Caucasus, c. 137 x 120 cm, second half of the 19th century, a finely knotted, large early Shirvan carpet with continuous surface design on a beige background and very rare main border, old dry back structure, all sides secured with a fabric strap on the back, despite being somewhat thin as a result of age, an interesting and rare collector’s carpet.
