biscuit porcelain with gilt bronze mount, round clock case with movement, surmounted by a yellow metal vase and fruit finial, with sculptural oak festoons, acorns, and children, a boy playing the guitar, the other singing, the movement with glass cover on both sides, yellow metal frame, white dial inscribed “Blanchard Aaria”, with black Arabic numerals, delicate polychrome painted rose garlands and gilt hands with leaf rocailles, the base with flowers, drapery, 3 sides with friezes, rosettes, chains, and acanthus leaves, the tiered yellow metal plinth with acanthus frieze, 4 feet with laurel wreaths and fruit, height 43.5 cm, length 42 cm, with pendulum, the back of the biscuit base impressed with: Emm. Chapnier, Mod. Ceramic, biscuit rim chipped. France, apocryphal Sevres mark, late 19th century. (Ru)
