porcelain, 3 elements, the body with wide and narrow gilt edging, cover with large cartouche with coat of arms, the polychromed and gold-painted coat of arms with gold crest, surmounted by gold crown, both supported by amorettes on the sides, the facing side with large sculptural polychrome blooming branches, the reverse side with green reeds, fluted cover with small colourfully painted flower branches, baluster on the facing side with large polychrome painted depiction of “Hector’s Farewell to Andromache”, on the side the goddess of war Pallas Athena with helmet and shield, and the goddess of peace Nike with a laurel wreath, heading towards the encampment, underneath gold crown, in 2 heart cartouches the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland and the coat of arms of the Prince Electors of Saxony, flanked by 2 amorettes and linked by a garland of roses, the foot with light purple and light turquoise fluting and gilt edges, large sculptural polychrome garland of flowers and fruit, on each side 1 Cupid with flowers in his hands, on either side large reed handles with blooming branches, each surmounted by two embracing amorettes with a garland of flowers, a floral cornucopia and a bouquet of flowers in their hands, the base with 4 volute feet and covered with flowers, the facing side with polychrome painted depictions of “Hector’s Farewell to Andromache” and “Cupid binding Aglaia to a Laurel” after Angelika Kauffmann, total height 100 cm, small restorations, Carl Thieme, Potschappel, Dresden, Germany, underglaze blue mark c. 1888, model by Johann Joachim Kändler 1760, manufactured on commission for Frederick the Great, 1712-1786, as a unique piece (Ru)
