porcelain, the body with flared lip and foot edge, fine and wide gilt edges, gold painted border with sprigs of leaves and 8 butterflies on white band, inner gilding with white well and gold rosette, bright gold outer rim, base and foot, gilt beaded frieze, surrounded by moulded gilt meadow base with tree, 2 sheep, a shepherdess leaning against a tree, weeping, holding her loyal dog on a leash, behind her a laughing Cupid, on light purple matt ground, rising handle with leaves heightened with gold; saucer with matching border and beaded frieze, decorated with an all-round garland of acanthus leaves on light purple matt ground, the well with gold painted evergreen wreath on white ground, height 10.5 cm, diameter 13.5 cm.
