Small round early Biedermeier table,
Austria-Hungary, circa 1815/20. An ash-veneered and ebonised softwood table on a three-sided base, with splayed and gold-painted claw feet, a lattice-like central section (presumably a wool basket for a sewing table), the arched side supports with the unusual decoration of gold painted heads of boys, with acanthus leaves within ebonised niches, with a maple-veneered compartment with an ebonised moulded border. Height ca. 77 cm. Dm. ca. 43 cm. In restored condition. (DOC)
