Large chest of drawers,
In the Transition style, after a model by the cabinet maker Andre Louis Gilbert (maitre from 1774), made in the beginning of the 20th century. Made in various hardwoods and softwoods, with rosewood veneer, richly decorated with marquetry ornament and architectural motifs in various partly dyed fine woods, with a polished finish, 5 drawers, the lower 2 being “sans traverse”, rich chased bronze mounts and a moulded marble top (Breche d’Alep). 93 x 137 x 60 cm. Professionally restored condition. (MIN)
