Northeast Persia (Iran), c. 93 x 45 cm, first third of the 20th century, the term ‘balisht’ refers to Baluch-specific artefacts, such as pillows, transport bags and food bags used by nomads; a stylised tree of life with grapevine/vine leaf motifs on camel-coloured ground, very beautiful ‘S’ border, soft pile wool, repaired selvedges, kilim ends and woven back no longer preserved.
