A round salon table in Chippendale style,
design and production attributed to F. O. Schmidt in Vienna, c. 1910/15, gently curved mahogany frame with matte finish, partly decorated with ornamental carvings, on 6 so-called claw-and-ball feet, moulded wavy edging, with insert chased copper tray, height c. 70 cm, diameter c. 89 cm, in restored condition. An almost identical table, referred to as side table, was in the former apartment of industrialist Friedrich Boskovits in Vienna, decorated by Adolf Loos (1870 - 1933). Lit.: Adolf Loos, Private spaces, p. 52, Tenov Books, Barcelona 2017
