West Turkestan, c. 48 x 121 cm, end of the 18th/beginning of the 19th century, the present item is the older of the two very similar (“Smith Collection”-type) torbas in this collection, cloth-like feel with c. 3,700 kts/sqm, all sides original, pile with slight signs of wear.
