West Turkestan, c. 78 x 125 cm, about 1900, in combined flatweave and knotting technique with narrow and large knotted patterned stripes on red kilim foundation, specimens such as the present one with a white ground knotted skirt are called ‘ak-chuval’; good condition, with original kilim back, slight red bleeding.
