West Turkestan, c. 33 x 102 cm, late 19th century, this tent entrance decoration, with short “arms”, used to be hung in the inner yurt over the lintel, the archaic horn motifs can otherwise only be found in the tent straps; with consistently full pile, the ornamental cords have survived only as fragments.
