Yomut C-Gul Khali,
West Turkestan, c. 282 (290) x 168 cm, second half of the 19th century, central carpet with 3 x 12 octagonal, quadripartite tauk noska (‘chicken design’) guls with classical, double-headed animal abstractions and c-gul decorations in the centre on dark brown field colour, the c-motifs in the rhomb-shaped secondary guls are rare, also remarkable is the light-coloured syrga-like main border with double arrows; original blue selvedges, the weaving finish has survived only in part, the upper half in low pile condition, with fringe and end damage.
