West Turkestan, c. 62 x 108 cm, 19th century, asymmetrical knots open to the right, knotted in velvety wool quality, pieces such as the present one belong to the rare group of carpets with stripes and niche design, which are otherwise a distinctive characteristic of flatweaves; both finishes with kilim remains, the short sides have been reduced; the items published below are central carpets which have been for the most part attributed to the eagle groups.
