Augsburg c. 1720, gilt brass and silver, signed “Johann Willebrand in Augspurg”, octagonal shape with compass with blued steel needle, folding plummet holder, latitude arc from 20–90 degree, hour scale from 3–12–9, original leather case with silver disc in lid giving the names and latitudes of 68 European towns. Size c. 61 x 62 mm. (WU).
