The Keramische Werkstatt Margaretenhöhe was founded by Margarete Kruppá in 1924. From 1927 Johannes Leßmann succeeded Will Lammert as head of the workshop. Johannes Leßmann was a student of the famous Bauhaus ceramicist Otto Lindig.
