His designs are characterised by a sculptural formal language in which geometric lines and organic forms coexist in fruitful exchange. He founded his own company, L’Atelier, in order to consolidate the connection between architecture and furniture construction. L’Atelier was a design collective made up of architects, engineers, craftsmen and an extensive team of professionals. Designs by L’Atelier are still regarded as milestones of modernism today.
