The entire front is divided by means of 5 caryatids (female and male). The male ones share similarities with the seafarers Ferdinand Magellan and Christopher Columbus. The encircling bands and drawer fronts are richly decorated with nereids and mermen riding hippocampi. Stylised dolphins are depicted in the two outer panels of the front. The upper finish is formed by a group of figures. The central male figure in a toga holds a torch in its hand and is flanked by 2 female figures.
