South Tyrol, c. 1480 - 1500, depicting Mary enthroned, the hem of her cape is held up by three angels, the Christ child sits on Mary’s lap and is turned towards the observer, carved lime wood, hollowed out on the back, polychrome painted and gilt, 57 x 94 cm, the colour has been painted over during a restoration, (MC)
Certificate by Dr. Leo Andergassen, Brixen 2004. Dr. Andergassen attributes the design of the Madonna to the Pacher workshop.
