Franz Liszt, as of 1859 Franz von Liszt, Raiding (Burgenland) 11.10.1811- 31.7.1886 Bayreuth, Hungarian-German pianist and composer, pupil of Czerny and Salieri in Vienna, celebrated triumphs as a pianist all over Europe; lived together with the Countess Marie d’Agoult in 1835-1839, 3 children, among them Cosima, who married Hans von Bülow and Richard Wagner.
