Khotan Fragment,
East Turkestan, c. 237 x 205 cm, late 18th century, very rare yellow-ground khotan fragment with pomegranate trees rising from vases, the carpet is trimmed at the lower end and thus reduced in length, several old repairs, consistently low pile, both ends trimmed, newly overcast side edges.
