From 1987 onwards, a small number of works were brought together by M. de Kinkelder from the RKD under the provisional name ‘Pseudo-Van Douw’. The artist could be identified in 2003 as Franciscus Hamers. The present painting is registered in the RKD database under
no. 0000082972.
